There
will be two classes offered in the Alcoy Summer Program. They
are:
1.
EG 44175 Ethical and Professional Issues in Engineering. (Equivalent
to CSE 40175).
2.
EG 34440 Introduction to Probability and Statistics (Equivalent
to MATH 30440).
These classes
affect different majors differently. It is your responsibility
to integrate them within your own curriculum. For example, if
you’ve taken all your technical electives or have already taken
MATH 30440 or CSE 40175, then these courses won’t count towards
your degree. The summary contained below gives information regarding
how each department is treating these courses.
Aerospace
Engineers: EG 44175 counts as a Professional Development
course; EG 34440 counts as a Technical Specialization course.
Chemical
and Biomolecular Engineers: EG 44175 and EG 34440
counts as Technical Electives.
Civil
Engineers: EG 44175 counts as a Technical Elective.
EG 34440 counts as a required course.
Computer
Scientists and Engineers: EG 44175 and EG 34440
count as required courses.
Electrical
Engineers: EG 44175 counts as a Technical Elective;
EG 34440 counts as a required course.
Mechanical
Engineers: EG 44175 and EG 34440 count as Technical
Electives.
