Urea Filtration and Reabsorption in a Dehydrated Nephron
About 50% of urea is reabsorbed into the blood in the proximal tubule. In the presence of ADH, the distal tubule and collecting duct are permeable to urea as well as water, so most urea is reabsorbed from concentrated urine.
