To organically develop image patterns and connections over a series of design compositions

assignment

You will make three individual compositions in three steps:

step 1: arrange 36 black & white images as a 9x9 grid and find connections between by modifying the squares

step 2: further the connections by colorizing the composition

step 3: add text

procedure

Each individual study will be on 11.5x11 inch paper. The studies must fit within a 9x9 inch area so there will be a one inch margin on all four sides (1.5 on the left).

Using a digital camera, take more than enough photos to fill the 36 squares

Using Photo, crop, scale, rotate, etc your digital images to fill the 81 squares
