I am a second year graduate student at The University of Notre Dame.

Current thesis research involves investigating and understanding the influence of microstructure and local damage phenomenon on the effective mechanical response of composites through the use of three-dimensional image based modeling techniques and statistical micromechanics. A deep understanding of the processes that govern the mechanical response of interesting composite materials is sought. This project will establish the driving and fundamental principles that govern material properties of selected glass reinforced composites. By utilizing combined theoretical and experimental efforts I will better understand microstructure-property relations and effectively model/predict such formulations thus allowing the ability to tune properties at will.
