Circumpolar Star Trails |

Star trails photographs are created by pointing the camera, equipped with a standard lens, at the North Star and taking a long exposure. The rotation of the earth causes the star trails. This exposure was 7 hours long. The small thick arc in the center is the North Star. 10-minute sub-exposures were digitally combined. Star colors, normally hard to detect are made more visible in the trails
