Star Trails and People Trails

The rotating earth causes the stars to appear to move across the sky as captured in this 2 hour exposure. New Mexico Skies is a guest observatory for amateurs and hosts amateur telescopes in small domes which are operated remotely across the internet. The red lights, which don’t harm dark-adjusted vision, are trails of the star gazers moving across the complex.
