HOMEWORK - Math. 114 - Spring 2003

No. 1 (due January 24)
This exercise refers to the 'two bags' experiment, but instead of picking just once from the chosen bag you are allowed to pick twice, after putting back into the bag the token you got out the first time. Your decision rule is that you will reject the null hypothesis (the bag is A) if the sum of the two tokens is $90 or more. Perform the experiment ten times and tell me the results, that is, count how many times this decision rule gave you the correct/incorrect guess. If you are unhappy, propose a different decision rule.

ENJOY!
