The 'kindred' is not easy to trace: but on John xix, 25, some take his mother's sister to be the mother of the sons of Zebedee of Matt. xxvii, 56, i.e., Salome, Mark xv, 40. If there was not kindred, there was certainly friendship, which is enough for the argument.
