Math 325: Differential Equations Course Information Fall 1997 TEXT: Boyce & DiPrima, Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems, Sixth Edition EXAM SCHEDULE: There will be three one-hour exams and a two hour final on the following dates: Exam Date Time Exam I Tue, Sep. 23 8:00--9:15 a.m. NIEU 129 Exam II Tue, Oct. 28 8:00--9:15 a.m. NIEU 118 Exam III Tue, Nov. 25 8:00--9:15 a.m. NIEU 118 Final Fri, Dec. 19 1:45--3:45 p.m. NIEU 118 Exam locations will be announced. Exams may be made up only with an excused absence from the Associate Vice President for Resident Life. Conflicts with exams in other courses must be resolved during the first week of classes. HOMEWORK/QUIZZES: Homework and/or quizzes will be given on a regular basis at the discretion of your professor. COMPUTER ASSIGNMENTS: You will be expected to do three assignments using Mathematica on the Macintoshes or Sun workstations in CCMB 210 or any other lab that has the appropriate software. The assignments can be found in the course directory and must be prepared using Mathematica. You may work on assignments in groups of up to three students. Only one assignment per group should be submitted. Be sure to include all names on the submitted assignment. Everyone in the group will receive the same grade. Groups (including individuals) should work independently. It is an honor code violation to share solutions with other groups or individuals. Each assignment is worth 25 points and are due on the following dates.
