Math 365, Fall `03
Announcements
-
12/11/03:
Your last homeworks are now graded, and you can pick them up at my
office. I should be around tomorrow (Fri) afternoon late (3 PM, maybe,
4 PM to be safe--depends on when a meeting ends). Additionally,
I'll make a point of being in my office on Monday afternoon from 3-5 PM
and Tuesday afternoon 4-5 PM. You're welcome to try me at other times,
too, if you like--I just don't promise to be around/available then
without advance warning.
-
12/08/03:
The final exam will be held in 125 Hayes-Healy (our usual room) from
8-10 AM on Wed 12/17.
-
10/27/03: For the rest of the term, we'll be moving to
a Monday-to-Monday schedule---i.e. homework is (officially) assigned
every Monday and then picked up in class the following Monday. Also,
I'll be replacing Monday evenings with Thursday and Friday afternoons
2-5 PM for office hours for this class.
-
10/13/03: Here are solutions
to the first exam. Also, don't forget that we're having class Thursday
at 8:30. We'll meet at the usual classroom; if it's taken, we'll look
nearby. It shouldn't be much trouble finding an alternative room.
-
10/02/03: Monday's exam will take place at
7 PM in 125 Hayes-Healy (note that an earlier version of this announcement
listed a different room).
-
10/02/03: Please note that I actually TeX'd up the
solutions to last week's homework. You can download them from the
course homepage. I hope to continue this, but I'm not making promises
at this point.
-
9/10/03: I put a folder for this class on reserve in the
library. Right now it contains solutions to the first homework assignment.
I'll add solutions to later assignments after you turn them in.
-
9/8/03: For the time being, I'll be hanging around my
office on Monday evenings from 7 til 8 (or later, if needs be) in order
to talk about homeworks, etc in this class. If I find after a couple of
weeks that I'm the only one attending, then I'll stop doing this.
-
9/1/03: OK, we talked it over, and we'll have the midterm
exam for this class on Monday, October 6 at 7 PM. Mark it on your calender!
-
8/31/03: How does Tuesday evening, Oct 14 sound for our
midterm exam, say at 7 PM? I'd go with Monday the 13th, but I'll just be
coming back from a conference the night before.
