Madhav Joshi, Ph.D.
I am a Research Professor of Political Science at the University of Notre Dame's Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies. I received my Ph.D. from the University of North Texas in May 2010.My research interests are divers, but most of the time my interests revolves around issues related to peace processes and peacebuilding, peace agreement design and implementation, post-civil war transition; peace duration; quality peace; Maoist insurgency in Nepal. My research works are published in peer-reviewed journals like Social Science Research, the British Journal of Political Science, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, International Studies Quarterly, Democratization, Global Governance, and many other journals. As a researcher, I provide research-informed practice support to facilitate the ongoing peace processes around the world. In this process, I have authored and co-authored many policy briefs on issues related to peace agreement contents and implementation challenges for the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (Philippines), Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal Transition to Peace Initiatives, the Office of the High Commissioner for Peace (Colombia), the United Nations Development Programme, and many civil society organizations involved in peace processes around the world.
