Course DescriptionThis course proposes an analysis of the uniqueness of the French political model. The course starts with the establishment of the strong “republican model” at the end of the 19th century. At this time, France was a “political nation” ahead of all the other European nations. This was, at least, the identity that she had given herself. In spite of endless crises and “national misfortunes,” France has for a longtime believed in the strength of her political model. With the decline of her external power and the changes in her society, has France become a stable but boring democracy
