OLD – Ann Raiho

Graduate Student

I am a fourth year graduate student working on the PalEON project. Right now, I am thinking about two problems. First, I am working with Andria Dawson, Chris Paciorek, and Jason McLachlan to develop a model for openness in the Minnesota Big Woods area. This model will be useful for understanding the prairie-forest boundary and how it has changed and will change over time. Concurrently, I am also interested in using data assimilation techniques to inform forest-gap models with paleoecological estimates of forest composition.
