• Griffith's 1851 land survey lists a Jeremiah Donovan living in the Clonakilty area in the townsland of Creggane, near the town of Timoleague, about five miles from Clonakilty. There exists a letter from Daniel Donovan to John Dononvan which has Daniel in Clonakilty when he wrote the letter. There are many, many Donovans in the Clonakilty area.
