How to become an engineer

• be curious, try building things, and see how they work, visit local factories, ask people about their jobs

• study mathematics and science at all levels in school (in high school, especially calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology)

• study English and communications

• join science clubs, participate in regional contests, try a techie summer camp
