Comments: This is a modern Bermuda cent made of bronze, first issued in 1970 as part of the new decimal coinage in which 100 cents equals one dollar. The obverse displays the portrait of the current British monarch, Elizabeth II, while the reverse contains the hog, as displayed on the Sommer Island coins. The only Bermuda copper before the new decimal cent was the 1793 copper displayed in the section on the the British West Indies coppers under Bermuda
