In-lab Tasks:

  1. Remove the R2R ladder network from your breadboard and disconnect the clamp circuit's output from the MicroStamp11. You will be rebuilding parts of this circuit in later labs and you won't need the R2R ladder network anymore. The rest of your breadboard you can reuse.
  2. Compile and download your program written in the pre-lab task.
  3. Use the oscilloscope to experimentally measure the duty cycle and period of your system's PWM signal for at least 25 different duty cycles. Be sure to gather data for very small (near 0%) and very large (near 100 %) duty cycles.
  4. Your system may not produce the expected PWM signal for very large or small duty cycles. If this happens, then determine why and rewrite your program so it addresses this problem. Use the oscilloscope to verify how well your solution addressed the problem by taking data at very high and low duty cycles.
  5. Description of what happened during the in-lab task.
