SELECTED DEVERS ACQUISITIONS: 1996-1997

Purchases made in 1996 include:

Alighieri, Dante. L'amoroso convivio: con la additione, et molti suoi notandi, accuratamente reuisto et emendato. Impresso in Vinegia: Per Marchio Sessa, nell'anno di nostra salute ... 1531. Venezia: Zoppino, 1529. (Purchased from Luigi Gonnelli, 2 November 1996.)

–––––. Rime di diversi antichi autori toscani in dieci libri raccolte. Venice, Io. Antonio e Frat. da Sabio 1532. A selection from the poetry of Dante Alighieri, Cino da Pistoia, Guido Cavalcanti, Dante da Maiano, Guittone d'Arezzo and other Tuscan authors. The poems by Dante Alighieri include the sonnets and cantos from his 'Vita Nuova'. (Purchased from A. Sokol Books, 16 December 1996.)


In addition to these two works, 42 books were purchased from The Owl at the Bridge on 1 November 1996. Some titles included in the purchase are:
