Assignments, Fall 2010

Below, you will find homework assignments listed for all the material we plan to cover. However, we might decide to change some of them as the semester progresses, perhaps even adding or deleting a section here and there. So please return to this page periodically to make sure you are working the correct homework problems. When I finish lecturing on a given section, I will fill in the date, and the homework for that section is officially 'assigned'. Each Friday before class, you should turn in all homework assigned by the previous Wedensday night; anyhow, I'll put a note here to let you know what sections are due.

There will be no further homework picked up this semester.   Problems assigned from sections 3.5 and beyond are just for practice.

ANNOUNCEMENT:  Sorry to keep moving my office hour, but this week I'll hold it from 2-3 Friday instead of the Wed time.  Also, there'll be no homework picked up or quizzes this week, but tutorials will take place as usual on Thursday.
