I am an avid angler. This page records my fishing experiences in the US. I thought I would update this webpage time by time, but sorry I did not. I'll try to do that from now, and today is Aug 31, 2015.

Oct 16, Boat fishing, Farallon Islands

After long long waiting and expecting, today I finally made my trip to Farallon Islands--the Mecca for fishing in San Francisco Bay Area.
Gorgeous weather--wave 4.5 ft (actually lower than that), no wind, cloud cover till 3pm so no sun cream was needed. In the afternoon, the sea near the Farallon Islands was flat like a lake!
The boat went through Golden Gate Bridge at 7:20am, and approaching Farallon Island at 9am. You could imagine how excited I was when I first saw the islands!
We fished from 9:30 ~ 2:00, and I got my first lingcod--a 26" super nice one, see the picture! I also got an unusually large copper rockfish. The picture did not show how large it was--18" and very wide and fat; over 5 pound! Easy limit out: I went home with 1 lingcod, 2 copper, 2 china, and 6 large rosy.
A super nice day and a forever memory!

Sep 12, Shore fishing, South of Half Moon Bay

Second time being there. Arrived at 1:30 pm, with my friend. Nice weather with little wave.
No bite till 4pm. When a seal swam towards my bait, I suddenly felt a bite--not another seal, but a small kelp greenling. Not a keeper, but a lovely fish that encouraged us a lot.
Low tide came at 5pm, with a strong bite. A second after I set the hook, the fish went into the rock holes. Fortunately, I pulled him out. It was a nice grass rockfish! 14.5 inch and over 2 pounds!
The beautiful day ends with a black-and-yellow rockfish, at my last cast, 6pm. Nice day!
