Exhibition / Exchange

In conjunction with the Eric Gill Conference, to be held at the University of Notre Dame this fall, there will be a juried exhibition of bookplates October 26 through November 24, 2000. The exhibition will be held in the Isis Gallery, located on the third floor of Riley Hall of Art and Design, on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.

Entries will be judged and selections will be made for inclusion into the exhibition. Three winners, gold, silver, and bronze, will be awarded in both professional and student categories. The gold medal winners will receive a complete set of the exhibition bookplate originals and a compilation of the bookplates on compact disc. All artists/designers selected to be in the exhibition will receive a small subset of bookplates and a compact disc.

Artists/designers must send ten bookplates under each entry. Include a brief rationale for the design and technique, no longer than four sentences. Also include entry fee (see next page), shipping address, contact information, and the year the design was executed.
