4/26/04: The final exam will be in our usual classroom (HH 229)
4/21/04: I'll be out of town Thursday afternoon and Friday (4/22-23), so there will be no office hours this Thursday, and Prof. Dyer will teach for me on Friday. He'll prove that the set of all real numbers is countable, and you'll need to know this proof for the final exam.
4/14/04: Two meetings of interest. The actuarial club will meet (for the first time) tonight at 7:30 PM in the Foster Room on the 3rd floor of Lafortune. Go and become a charter member!
There will be a math club talk tomorrow evening at 8 PM. The speaker is James Keener from the University of Utah who will speak on "Diffusion and how it is used." More generally, Keener works in mathematical biology which is a subject of trememndous recent interest and not something you hear much about in your regular classes.
4/14/04: The next homework will be due on Monday, April 19. I'm canceling tomorrow's (Thursday 4/15) office hours and will hold hours from 2-4 on Friday 4/16 instead.
3/29/04: I'll be out of town Thursday and Friday this week, so I'm canceling my Thursday office hour. Instead, I'll hold two office hours Wednesday from 2-4 PM.
2/23/04: There will be no homework collected this week. Instead, I'll add some problems on Wed to last week's assignment and collect all of them next Wednesday 3/3/04.
2/2/04: I'm moving today's office hours back slightly to 4-6 PM. That's for today only--next week I'll go back to the usual schedule.
1/26/04: It's a boy! Elijah Patrick Diller arrived on the scene at 3:30 Sunday morning. Consequently, I'll only be in mornings this week. In particular, my office hours will be Tuesday from 9-12 and Thursday from 10-12 instead of the usual hours.
