Accounting Association, University of Notre Dame
Actuarial Science Club
The ASC shall introduce students to the field of actuarial science and provide an environment which facilitates the transition into an actuarial career; the ASC will achieve this purpose by:
A. Maintaining active relationships with actuarial employers,
B. Bringing guest speakers to campus,
C. Organizing study seminars and groups for students taking exams, and
D. Meeting with faculty to discuss current relevant issues concerning the field.

Africana Studies Club
The purpose this club is to provide an intellectual
center for the exploration of the African Diaspora. The Aftricana
Studies Club coordinates a regular series of roundtable discussions and
other educational activities for students and faculty about cultural,
political, and economic issues pertinent to the African Diaspora.
Members attend lectures and meetings with visiting scholars whose work
is focused on the Africana Diaspora.

American Advertising Federation Chapter
The Purpose of the ACND is to provide and promote a better understanding of the functions of advertising and of its values, to stimulate and encourage advertising professionalism through advertising education, to educate students on the careers associated with advertising, to follow and understand the trends of the advertising industry, to develop the individual abilities of its members, to learn how to be an effective advertising professional through observation, and to ultimately possess a better understanding of the advertising industry as a whole.

American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Notre Dame
* The UND chapter of AIAA exists to support the undergraduate engineering education with information and activities related to the aerospace field.
* To this end, the AIAA will sponsor lectures from industry and academia on pertinent subjects, organize trips to sites of interest in aerospace, and offer activities to promote "hands-on" learning.
* The purpose of this extracurricular aerospace club is to offer the kind of learning that is not available in the established curriculum, as well as to prepare the interested student for taking the next step in the aerospace industry of academia.

American Institute of Architecture Students - University of Notre Dame
The objectives and purpose of this chapter shall be:
* To foster an appreciation and understanding of the ideas and objectives of the Institute and to promote and forward the same within the territory of this chapter.
* To emphasize and promote professional, educational, and social aspects of student activities on campus.
* To foster fellowship, cooperation, and unity between members of this Chapter, members of the local AIA Chapter and other Student Chapters.
* To enlarge chapter members' understanding of the current and future scope of architectural practice.
* To provide a national voice for architecture students in matters involving the profession and education in architecture.

American Institute of Chemical Engineers
The objectives of our organization in order of importance are as follows:
- To contribute to the development of Chemical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame through activities involving the Department of Chemical Engineering faculty and members of our chapter.
- To assist our parent organization, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, in maintaining communication between student chapters, local sections, and all chemical engineers for the purpose of creating and promoting a higher standard for the chemical engineering profession.
- To promote the pursuit of chemical engineering as an undergraduate degree.

American Institute of Graphic Arts
The purpose of AIGA/ND student group shall be consistent with the mission of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), whose purpose is "to further excellence in communication design as a broadly defined discipline, strategic tool for business and cultural force. AIGA is the place design professionals turn to first to exchange ideas and information, participate in critical analysis and research and advance education and ethical practice." In addition, our student chapter will stress student involvement, learning, and education in order to raise the level of design-driven thinking. AIGA/ND student group will work toward its goals by:
- Coordinating a regular series of roundtable discussions on current design issues.
- Coordinating guest speakers to visit the University to provide insight into the design world as well as providing critiques for student work.
-Coordinating trips to design firms, lectures, portfolio reviews, etc. in order to educate students.

American Society of Civil Engineers, Notre Dame Student Chapter
The mission of the chapter shall be "To familiarize students seeking a profession in civil engineering with the numerous aspects of the field." We shall do this by bringing in various speakers and professions to speak about their experiences. We will also try to take field trips to engineering sites such as a construction site, water treatment plan, or cement plant. The club shall provide numerous services to the students to help them through their studies at the University of Notre Dame. These include organizing a series of review sessions for the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam, ordering review books, and sponsoring study break snacks during finals. Finally, the student chapter of ASCE shall participate in service opportunities around campus such as running a lab for Ms. Wizard Day.

American Society of Mechanical Engineers
The purpose shall be the advancement and dissemination of the theory and practice of mechanical engineering, the presentation of proper perspective of engineering work and the opportunity to become acquainted with the personnel and activities of the Society as well as to promote professional consciousness and fellowship. It will also provide the opportunity to learn to apply what students have learned in the classroom. ASME exists to allow students to understand what is involved in designing, building, and competing a race-style vehicle.

American Studies Club (SAND)
Name changed from Studying America at Notre Dame in May 2011.
The purpose of SAND shall be to promote exploration in the varied field of American Studies while creating an atmosphere in which American Studies faculty may interact with American Studies majors and Notre Dame undergraduates studying other disciplines.

The purpose of this organization is outlined in the following objectives: to stimulate discussion and interest in current issues in anthropology; to offer members opportunities to extend classroom learning to include activities related to anthropology; to promote fellowship among anthropology students and encourage student-faculty interaction; to open opportunities for non-anthropology students to investigate anthropology as a field of study.

Association of Women in Mathematics of the University of Notre Dame
The purpose of this club shall be to encourage undergraduate females to study as well as pursue careers in mathematical sciences through the coordination of educational and awareness projects. The club will work toward its goals by:
A. coordinating a regular series of roundtable discussions of female mathematics majors to help overcome any challenges that are encountered and to increase communication, teamwork and leadership.
B. facilitating additional interaction between faculty and graduate students with undergraduate outside a classroom setting.
C. creating a mentorship program between beginning math majors and upperclassmen math majors.
D. providing networking opportunities between students and female math majors holding careers related to math in order to increase awareness of the opportunities for women in mathematical sciences.

Baja SAE
The purpose shall be the advancement and the dissemination of the theory
and practice of mechanical engineering, the presentation of proper
perspective of engineering work, and the opportunity to become
acquainted with the personnel and activities of the Society as well as
to promote professional consciousness and fellowship. This includes the
specific goal of understanding the mechanical engineer's role in the
construction of automotive vehicles as well as the industry as a whole.
Members will design and build an off-road vehicle, which will then be
raced in the regional SAE Baja Competition.

The purpose of this fraternity shall be to encourage and to recognize scholastic and professional excellence in the field of accounting. Further, the fraternity is dedicated to the advancement of the Notre Dame Accounting curriculum on a collegial and professional level.

The purpose of this club shall be to encourage an interest in Biology and fellowship among the club's members. These goals will be accomplished by the following means:

The purpose of this chapter shall be to afford an opportunity for
the students in the department of chemistry in the University of Notre

Chi Epsilon Honor Society
The object of Chi Epsilon shall be:
(a) To contribute to the improvement of the civil engineering profession as an instrument for the betterment of society.
(b) To recognize the fundamental characteristics of the successful civil engineer and to aid in the development of these characteristics.

The purpose of the Entrepreneurship Society of Notre Dame shall be to foster the entrepreneurial spirit and ability of Notre Dame undergraduate students through coordinating programs which emphasize entrepreneurship. The mission of the club shall be attained through the following means:

The purpose of IDRC shall be to foster academic fellowship and networking among students in the many and various fields related to international development. This follows the University mission statement, which states, “The University seeks to cultivate [. . .] a disciplined sensitivity to the poverty, injustice, and oppression that burden the lives of so many. The aim is to create a sense of human solidarity and concern for the common good that will bear fruit as learning becomes service to justice.” Towards this mission, IDRC will seek to bring students together in the hopes of preparing them to find real solutions to extreme poverty around the world and to, in this way, serve justice.

The purpose of the University of Notre Dame Marketing Club is to provide a medium for the interaction of all those interested in Marketing. The Club strives to go one step beyond the classroom in terms of learning what Marketing really constitutes by organizing speakers, field trips, and social interaction between students and faculty. NotreDevelopers (NDevs)
The purpose of NDevs shall be to create an environment for students to learn about or pursue video game development, either as a hobby or with a professional career in mind. NDevs will work toward its goals by: assisting self-study of different aspects of game design by offering a workplace, tools, and tutorials, connecting people with similar interests and different skill-sets to work on collaborative projects, sponsoring events (lectures, build sessions, et cetera) related to the field of video game design and development.

Philosophy Club of Notre Dame
The purpose of the Philosophy Club shall be to encourage the discussion and better understanding of philosophical ideas, as well as interdisciplinary conversation dealing with philosophy and its relation to other disciplines. The Philosophy Club also aims to aid in their preparation those undergraduate students who wish to pursue graduate studies in philosophy, as well as other areas of study in which one would utilize similar skills.

Pi Tau Sigma
The objective of the Sigma Beta Chapter shall be to foster the high ideals of the engineering profession, to stimulate interest in coordinated departmental activities, to promote the mutual professional welfare of its members, and to develop in students of mechanical engineering the attributes necessary for effective leadership and the assumption of the responsibilities of a citizen in a democracy.

Pre-Dental Society, Notre Dame
The purpose of the Pre-Dental Society is to provide a chance for students potentially interested in dentistry to meet and obtain helpful information regarding dental school application, as well as to gain insight on the nature of life as a dental student or dentist. In order to achieve these goals, the club will partake in the following activities:
1) The club will meet regularly to allow members to get together with their fellow pre-dental students and exchange thoughts and ideas on the Dental School application process.
2) We will coordinate the visits of South Bend-area dentists and orthodontists who will volunteer their time to share their past experiences in applying, their thoughts on life as a dentist, and where they see the future of dentistry.
3) A dental hygiene drive will be conducted to collect and/or to receive donations for dental supplies for the needy in the area.
4) The club will be a resource for students seeking information on dental schools and the application process from the Science Preprofessional office. Meetings may also be a form for talks from Preprofessional advisors.
5) The club will conduct D.A.T. test study sessions to help students prepare for the exam.
6) The club will bring admissions officers from nearby dental schools to allow club members to become familiar with the dental admissions process.
Pre-Law Society
Recognizing the importance of adequate preparation and counsel for the undergraduate anticipating a post-graduate legal education, and sensing the need for a centralized body on campus to gather and disseminate relevant materials concerning the legal career to all interested persons, we, the undergraduates of Notre Dame, hereby establish the Prelaw Society of Notre Dame.

Pre-Professional Society/American Medical Student Association
The main purpose of the Pre-Professional Society is to provide resources undergraduate sIf you tudents who plan to attend medical school. Not only will this information tell students whether they are "on track" with their academic courses and GPA, but this club will also supply students with information about what they should be doing outside of the classroom to enhance their chances at admission to medical schools. A second purpose of this club is to expose students to all aspects of the medical profession of which they may not be aware.

Pre-Veterinary Medical Association of UND/SMC Club
The purpose of the organization is to provide resources for those students hoping to attend veterinary school or to study in other animal related fields. The club will give insight and advice on the different schools and career options and their application processes. The club will also provide lecture series, hands-on experience, and possible volunteer opportunities in the South Bend community.

Quizbowl Club of Notre Dame

Society of Physics Students
This chapter has seven roles within the physics community as well as the Notre Dame community:
1. To encourage undergraduate research as a teaching tool.
2. To promote scientific literacy and appreciation through physics outreach programs to
grades K-12.
3. To maintain the only institutionalized structure the physics community has for
communicating with the "friends of physics" that exists throughout all walks of life in
society through SPS alumni and members of Sigma Pi Sigma.
4. To provide an effective signpost for educating the student on the many career options, in

Essentially, the Notre Dame Cycling Club matches riders of all skill levels, and surface preferences (both road and mountain) with each other in its weekly and bi-weekly rides. The club provides transportation to rides both within the immediate area, and other locales within the Midwest, allowing people with common interests in cycling to share fun experiences in the outdoors. Figure Skating Club, Notre Dame
The purpose of the club is to enable women and men who have some experience in the sport of figure skating to have ice time devoted only to figure skating. Through practice on ice (and optional off-ice) the figure skater can develop more skills and benefit through the knowledge of fellow members. Since figure skating is very personalized, the level at which each person skates and the progress that he/she makes is individualized. In addition, the Notre Dame Figure Skating Club will have a synchronized skating team which will require more discipline. This team will be more goal oriented in the sense that it will compete against other collegiate teams at a local and national level.

The Waterski Club of Notre Dame will promote competition with other colleges throughout the United States in National Collegiate Waterski Association (NCWSA) sanctioned tournaments. Notre Dame shall belong and compete in the Great Lakes Conference of the NCWSA where other colleges from the Midwest compete. At the end of the season, eligible teams in the Great Lakes Conference compete in the Regional Championships where the top five teams move onto the National Championships.

The purpose and aims of the club shall be to improve the political, social and economic status of student minority groups: to eliminate racial prejudice; to keep the public aware of the adverse effects of racial discrimination. Native American Student Association of Notre Dame (NASAND)
- The primary purpose of the organization is to provide an environment that is conductive to the intrinsic socio-cultural needs and desires of the Native American students at Notre Dame. NASAND wishes to strive to promote a sense of unity among the Notre Dame Native American community by providing an atmosphere that Native American students can relate to, both socially and culturally.
- It is NASAND's purpose to educate ourselves (Native Americans) cross-culturally and others (non-Natives) about the major common concerns of Native Americans. Dance Company
The purpose of DCND will be to provide students who enjoy dance to have the opportunity to practice and perform their preferred genre of dance, including jazz, modern, ballet, hip-hop and lyrical. The club will fulfill this purpose by:
A. Coordinating regular meetings, which will consist of technical practice and discussion of relevant issues relating to impending events. Meetings before upcoming performance will mainly focus on rehearsal of the dances.
B. Meeting with the advisor regularly for critiques on our performance pieces as well as discussing issues regarding finance and planning.
C. Planning performances for the academic year at Notre Dame for the students and at other locations for community service. Three annual performances will be held on campus: a fall, winter, and spring show. Other performances, such as a Christmas show, will be done at elderly facilities and other similar locations throughout the year.
The Dance Company of Notre Dame is a student-run club that performs once per semester. The styles of dancing that are practiced and performed include ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, lyrical and hiphop.

To be considered for membership, one must be enrolled in at least one University course besides Choir. Exceptions will be made at the discretion of the Director. Project Fresh
The purpose of this club is to educate the ND, Holy Cross, and St. Mary's communities about one of the four elements of hip-hop: bboying a.k.a. breakdancing. Active Minds at Notre Dame
Active Minds is established for the expressed purpose of:
1. Increasing the awareness of the students, faculty, and staff at Notre Dame about the following:

• symptoms related to mental health disorders

Aging with Grace
As a community, we are called to honor and respect our elderly by providing them with the best possible care as they age. Besides the option to move elders into the family home, there are three main types of senior housing: assisted living, nursing home care, and Aging in Place. Aging in Place is the only program nationwide that allows the elderly to live independently in their own homes, which are often located in senior apartment complexes. This method is also the most cost-effective for families whose elders are
self-sufficient and do not need around-the-clock nursing care. Nevertheless, Aging in Place works very hard to create a vibrant social community for their residents by facilitating fun and engaging activities several times a week.

Bandlink
The purpose of the Bandlink program will be to teach, organize, and run a band program where there would otherwise be no band program. The program is for students ranging from fourth through eighth grades, who attend Christ the King or Holy Cross or are home schooled. Bandlink will work toward its goal by:
A. providing a student mentor program by pairing a college student with a grade school student and teaching the respective instrument in a private lesson setting.
B. working with the Notre Dame band directors to help with lessons, resources, and full band.

This chapter will offer on Brigade Program: Public Health. Along with affiliate groups at other distinguished universities, our ND team recruits and educates student volunteers and then travels overseas to aid in the construction of in-home infrastructure projects consist of concrete flooring, eco-stoves with external exhaust chimneys, water storage units and wash basins, showers, and latrines with septic tanks with the goal of improving overall health and wellbeing by combating common, preventable illnesses at their source. The purpose of this club shall be to unite student volunteers from Notre Dame with children with autism or special needs in the South Bend and Granger communities. The goals of each pair of Special Friends are as follows:

- to raise greater student awareness of individuals with autism or special needs

Super Sibs
The purpose of this club shall be to provide friendship and support to area children who have siblings with disabilities. The Notre Dame, Saint Mary's, and Holy Cross students who each have siblings with disabilities will be matched 1:1 with children from the South Bend area who also have siblings with disabilities. The students will be able to mentor the child, provide encouragement, and support because of their own experiences with siblings with disabilities.

World Hunger Coalition
The ND World Hunger Coalition was established in 1974 in an attempt to raise awareness on campus of issues related to hunger in the local community and through the world. The WHC organizes a number of educational, spiritual, and service-oriented projects throughout the academic year. The Wednesday Lunch Fast is the group's main project. Those who wish to participate volunteer to skip lunch each Wednesday of the semester and the dining hall donates a designated amount for each meal skipped. That money is then sent to several Third World grassroots developmental projects in an effort to alleviate the suffering of hunger. Sign-ups take place at the beginning of each semester and only those students with meal plans may participate.
In addition, the group sponsors a Thanksgiving and Easter Basket Drive each year. Donations are taken up around campus and used to purchase Thanksgiving/Easter dinners for the less fortunate in the local community.

The purpose of 1stG ND shall be to foster a community where first generation students can find support, expand their network, form new friendships, and become aware of campus resources available to them. 1stG ND will work towards its goals by: A. Creating a mentoring program where upperclassman will be paired with underclassmen to serve as guides in navigating their first years at the university. C. Active Minds at Notre Dame
Active Minds is established for the expressed purpose of: 1. Increasing the awareness of the students, faculty, and staff at Notre Dame about the following: • issues surrounding mental health • symptoms related to mental health disorders • mental health resources available both on campus and in the surrounding community 2. Removing stigma surrounding mental health disorders so that students will feel more comfortable openly discussing mental-health related issues and seeking help when it is needed. 3. The purpose of Amnesty International Notre Dame shall be to promote global human rights. The purpose of LoLND is to provide a safe and fun environment for students at Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s College and Holy Cross College to enjoy and play League of Legends, a competitive Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) created by Riot Games. League of Legends is currently the most popular video game in the world, with over one hundred million active players and a vibrant e-sports scene. The purpose of LGCND shall be to encourage teenagers to live a “golden life” — a life of integrity, obedience, and self-discipline. LGCND shall serve to inspire greatness in the lives of Notre Dame, St. Mary’s, and Holy Cross students so they are motivated to live well, to live fully, and to celebrate life by participating in a pledge program that commits to alcohol-free living until the legal age and abstaining from illegal drug use. The purpose of Memory Team is to educate and train students in the art and science of memory techniques with the ultimate goal of winning the US Memory Championship (USMC). Men Against Sexual Violence
Men Against Sexual Violence is committed to ending all sexual assault and domestic violence in our community. MAV proposes a different measure for masculinity. MAV reinforces positive aspects of the male identity to replace the harmful social norms which interfere with society reaching its full potential. Men will claim the issue of sexual and domestic violence as their own when they are approached by other men who have done so. This is the principle on which MAV exists. As such, MAV challenges male leaders to be outspoken about ending sexual assault and domestic violence, and gives men the appropriate tools to change our community. Through the empowerment of these male leaders, MAV creates an amplified social accountability for the crimes of rape, sexual assault and domestic abuse. The student union is the composition of the representative body for undergraduate students at the University of Notre Dame. The following is a brief description of each of the organizations which comprise the student union.
There are two branches within the Student Union: the Policy Branch and the Programming Branch.
The Executive Cabinet governs the actions of the Student Senate.
Its membership is as follows:

The organizations of the Programming Branch share program events designed to meet the programming needs and wants of their organizations and/or the constituents they represent. The Executive Programming Board serves as the organization to coordinate these activities. Its membership is as follows:

Student Body President and Vice-President. Presiding over the student union are the student body president and vice-president, who are elected on one ticket every February to one-year terms starting April 1. As the chief executives of the student union their primary role is to ensure the efficient operation of all student entities and organizations/clubs.
Student Union Senate.Chaired by the student body vice-president, the student union senate is composed of one elected member from each undergraduate residence hall and one off-campus senator. The senate serves as the primary policy body of the student union, advancing the position of the undergraduate student body on all issues concerning campus life. The senate also serves to regulate the student union through the constitution and its bylaws and is responsible for the annual budget, fiscal policies, and election regulations of the student union.
Judicial Council.Chaired by the judicial council president and aided by the vice-presidents of elections and advocacy, the judicial council is composed of a representative from each dorm and peer advocates. In the first of its two roles, the judicial council runs the elections of the student union in accordance with the regulations established by the senate. The judicial council also provides assistance to undergraduate students accused of violating University rules and regulations.
Financial Management Board. Chaired by the student union treasurer, the Student Union Treasurer prepares an annual budget in accordance with the policies established by the senate. The Financial Management Board’s Office also hears appeals for additional funds, is responsible for the production and marketing of The Shirt, and controls the operations of the student businesses through the Student Business Board. In addition to the student union treasurer, two assistant treasurers, and the controllers or treasurers of the executive cabinet organizations compose the Policy Branch of the Student Union Senate Treasurer’s Office.
Executive Programming Board. Chaired by the Chief of Staff, the primary goal of this group will be to prevent overlap in programming and to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of each of the aforementioned group's events in an effort to draw more students to each group's events. It includes a representative from each of the major student union groups on campus as well as a representative from each of the class councils. The Executive Programming Board meets bi-weekly.
Student Union Board (SUB). SUB is the primary programming body of the student union, attempting to access the needs and wants of the undergraduate student body and provide services and social, intellectual, and cultural opportunities that enhance undergraduate student life. SUB coordinates many campus-wide events, including the following: Fall Mall, Literary Festival, Collegiate Jazz Festival, AnTostal, major concerts, weekend movie series, etc.
Hall President's Council (HPC). The Hall President’s Council serves as a forum for the hall presidents of each of Notre Dame’s twenty-seven residence halls to exchange information, coordinate programming, and discuss matters of residence life. Each hall has between one to three voting representatives (depending on number of residents).
Club Coordination Council (CCC).The CCC is composed of the club coordinator and eighteen club council representatives, four from each of the six club divisions, all who serve to provide cohesive club programming. Together, these officers divide the funds allocated by the Student Union Treasurer’s Office among over 250 undergraduate student clubs. The CCC also informs clubs of the regulations surrounding the usage of funds and the obligations as event sponsor to ensure adherence to these regulations.
Class Councils. The class councils exist to promote the well-being of their respective classes by sponsoring functions that promote unity among class members. The freshman class elects one representative from each residence hall to the council. The other three classes elect a president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer, on one ticket each in February who are then free to choose council committees that best serve to meet the needs of the class in any given year.

Off-Campus Council.The off-campus council exists to promote the well being of off-campus students by sponsoring functions and disseminating information to off-campus students. The elected off-campus council presidents have discretion as to how to structure the council to accomplish this goal.

Earthquake Engineering Research Institute
The objective of this chapter is to encourage student interest in the advancement of the science and practice of earthquake engineering and the solution of national earthquake engineering problems in order to protect people and property from the effects of earthquakes and to develop an awareness of EERI, and EERI Chapters with consensus procedures by which EERI operates.

Electron Microscopy Club
The purpose of the Electron Microscopy Club (NDEMC) is to advance knowledge of theory and practice of electron microscopy techniques. The NDEMC will work toward this by sharing techniques between graduate students, post-docs, faculty, and staff; holding regular meetings to discuss state and operation equipment; promoting advanced understanding through seminars; and helping new users learn the principles of operation of the instrument.

The Graduate Theological Society (GTS) of the University of Notre Dame, chartered under the
original name of the Graduate Theological Union in December 1, 1967, is the official
organization of graduate students in the Department of Theology. A voluntary democratic
