Insight: More than three quarters of Chicago's population is not in poverty. However, almost 20% of Chicago's population is in poverty; so the city is no stranger to poverty.

Insights: Chicago has many streets. Over 75% of the streets in chicago streets contained less than 0.6% of Chicago's crime in 2019. The four streets with the most amount of crime in the city were (in order of highest to lowest) State Street, Michigan Avenue, Western Avenue, and Ashland Avenue. This is interesting because these streets are all north-south running and centrally located in Chicago. They also all run down into Chicago's South Side neighborhoods.

Insights: A large variety of crimes occur in the city. 54.2% of crimes in the city are either theft, battery, or criminal damage. Theft takes up over a fourth of all the crime in the city. However, battery follows closely behind at about 20%.
