The text editor "vi" could be directly used to edit or write codes in your AFS account in the darrow machine:

step 1 - login into darrow.cc.nd.edu
step 2 - go to your homework directory. For example, for the assignment 0, use the following linux command

cd acms20210hw
cd hw0

step 3 - type the command: vi ex0-1.cpp ,then the file ex0-1.cpp will be opened in the vi editor environment.
step 4 - press the key a to go into the "Typing mode".
step 5 - Edit your code file or write the code.
step 6 - After finishing writing the code, press the key ESC to quit the "Typing mode".
step 7 - type :wq to save the file and quit vi editor.
