Nintendo/AMA Case Competition
All Semester!

Marketing and Advertising Trip to Chicago
November 5th, All Day (Bus leaves at 7 AM)
Chicago, IL

Companies Visiting: Starcom, Leo Burnett, and Google

We will meet with Notre Dame alums and other leaders at each firm to hear
their insights about their industries, their professional environment, and much more!
This trip is an opportunity to network, learn about the companies, and actually
see what it's like to work for them. For those interested in internships and full time
positions at one of these companies this is the perfect opportunity to get some quality
face time with the employers. After our time (and free lunch!) with Google attendees
will have the opportunity to tour Chicago for a few hours or if desired can return
to the companies to spend some more time shadowing and/or networking. What a
perfect day out of the classroom!

Annual Fall Bowling Night

Marketing Club's most anticipated event of the year! Come and

semesters have drawn over 100 people for our signature event!

Fall Career Fair Marketing Meet-N-Greet
September 7th, 7-9 PM

Participants: Abercrombie & Fitch (Retail), dunnhumbyUSA (Market Research),
General Mills (Food), Proctor & Gamble (CPG), and Target (Retail)

A casual event to help club members and other marketing majors prepare for
Fall Career Fair and network with key recruiters who will be working at
the fair the following day.


Advertising Career Forum

Speakers: Kaylea Hoelscher: Leo Burnett
Todd Woodward: Associate VP Office of Public Affairs and
Communication of Notre Dame

Two Notre Dame Graduates, Kaylea Hoelscher is an Account Executive at
Leo Burnett and currently manages the adult cereal business for Kellogg;
Todd Woodward is currently the Associate Vice President in the
Office of Public Affairs and Communications for Notre Dame and has
over twenty years experience in the marketing industry – including
working on the “Got Milk?” campaign.

This forum is meant to provide students with practical knowledge
about how to get started in the advertising industry, what it takes to
make it big, and what it’s like to work in the industry.  The forum will
offer students the opportunity to ask questions, as well as plenty of
occasions for networking.

"Spread the Love for Haiti" Charity Event
February 8th-12th
Campus Wide!

This new event allowed students and faculty to make some people's February a very special one while helping the relief effort in Haiti. For $2, a Valentine gram could be bought from campus wide locations and all the proceeds went to aid recovery in Haiti.

Over $250 dollars was raised between the 8th and 12th and the money will definitely make a difference to those in need. Thanks to all who contributed and bought Valentine grams.

New Age Media Symposium
February 20th

Big name websites you use every day have changed the face of marketing and discovered a whole new world of marketing opportunities!

This event highlighted both sides of media markets: the companies using the media and the agencies selling them.

Speakers included represenatives from StarCom, Myspace, and YouTube/Google!

Chicago Advertising Federation Career Day
February 22nd
Chicago, IL

CAF's annual Career Day program allowed students to learn about the advertising industry and network with top advertising professionals.

Students listened to 4-5 General Session speakers, participated in 2-3 panel discussions on a variety of topics relevant to advertising today, networked with industry professionals at lunch, and had the opportunity to take a tour of an actual agency in the afternoon.

Pacers Sports & Entertainment Sports Career Fair
February 20th
Indianapolis, IN

The Indiana Pacers held a career fair
involving teams and companies from the midwest in addition to many companies that have offices all over the country. This was a wonderful opportunity for those trying to either make a career in sports or to break into the sports industry.

South Bend SilverHawks Baseball Game
April 21st
South Bend, IN

Marketing Club members spent an evening full of fun cheering on South Bend's very own minor league baseball team. The SilverHawk's beat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers for their first home win!

Second Annual Marketing Club Golf Scramble & Picnic
April 26th
Notre Dame Burke National Golf Course

Nine teams of marketing students and professors competed in a 9-hole scramble while enjoying a sunny Saturday afternoon. It was followed by a picnic and awards ceremony where the best golfers and best dressed received great prizes.

Career Expo Meet-N-Greet

Representatives form P&G, Abercrombie & Fitch, AT&T, General Mills, Johnson & Johnson, Whirlpool, Nestlé, and Metavante gave brief presentations, and afterwards, members had the opportunity network with employers in a casual environment.

Concession Stand

We ran and managed our own concession stand before the Stanford game to raise funds for events.
