Daily Chicago COVID-19 Cases Stratified by Race

This graph is very interesting when considering the ethnicity distribution of Chicago: 28.8% Latino, 50% white, 29% black, 7% asian. Despite Latino’s only making up around 30% of the population in Chicago, they reported the largest number of reported cases almost entirely throughout our data’s span. Another fascinating insight is that Blacks had reported cases very similar to that of the Asian population, despite being a population over 4x larger than the Asian population. However, it must be noted that these numbers are reported cases and actual numbers of cases may vary from those reported within our data set.
