Faculty Promotions Announced

Several faculty in the College of Engineering have received promotions. Patrick J. Flynn, in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, was promoted from associate to full professor, as was Michael D. Lemmon of the Department of Electrical Engineering. Within the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, J. William Goodwine was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor with tenure. And,
John W. Lucey, also from aerospace and mechanical engineering, was appointed emeritus.

Two faculty members — David J. Kirkner, associate professor of civil engineering and geological sciences, and Roger A. Schmitz, the Keating-Crawford Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering — were honored for 25 years of service to the University.
