Q: How do I access Groups?
Click the groups icon. 
The 
tab shows all groups of which you are a member. Click on a group name to access the group's homepage.
Q: How do I find and join a group?
Click on the 
tab.
Select a category on the left to view the available groups.
Click on the group you wish to join.
Click on the 
tab. Read the Group Membership policy, and complete the Required Information Section.
Then click 
Q: How can I request a group?
Click 
Enter Group Name and Title
Enter Guest Page Description. This description will be read by potential members to determine if they?d like to join your group.
Select Group Category
Select Group Type:
Public: open to anyone at Notre Dame and displayed in Group Index. Choose Public if your group is open to any member of the community.
Restricted: displayed in Group Index, but group leader approves all memberships, and sets criteria for joining. Choose Restricted if you wish to control who joins your group, but would like it to be visible in the Group Index.
Hidden: not displayed in the category index. The group leader adds all members. Chose Hidden for private groups.
Browse control: restrict, by university role, who can view Public and Restricted groups in the Group Index. Leave the Selected Roles area blank if your group is hidden, or if all faculty, staff, and students may view the group. If you wish to restrict viewing by university role; select faculty, employee, or students from the unselected roles list. All other roles are for administrative use only.
Group Applications: leave all check boxes checked. Once your group is approved, you may remove specific group functionality.
Groups Policy: click the check box that you have read and understood the policy.

Q: What is the Group digest and how do I subscribe?
The Group Digest checks daily for new contents in all groups in insideND and sends one email with a summary of changes. Subscription to the digest is automatic, if you are a member of a group you will receive an email when that group is updated..
