Description
The ampoule sealing station is a general purpose vacuum sealing system that encapsulates samples in a small quartz vial (3/8" ID; 1/2" OD). The system uses high temperatures to melt the quartz vials to form an airtight seal.
Allowed Materials
Semiconductor materials and metal samples.
Prohibited Materials
Organics, greases, substances that outgas, liquids of any type.
Cleaning procedure
Samples should be free of greases, oils, fingerprints, and particles. If necessary, samples should be cleaned in solvents, followed by DI rinse and N2 blow dry. Particular attention should be paid to the back side of the sample.
