Face Recognition Article Hits Top 25 List

The article titled “A Survey of Approaches and Challenges in 3D and Multi-modal 3D+2D Face Recognition” and authored by Kevin W. Bowyer, the Schubmehl-Prein Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering; Patrick J. Flynn, professor of computer science and engineering; and Kyong Chang, a graduate student in the department, was listed No. 1 on the “Top 25” list (most downloaded according to Elsevier ScienceDirect users) of Computer Vision and Image Understanding for the periods dating October through December 2005* and January through March 2006. It was No. 8 for the second quarter, April through June 2006, and the only article among the top 10 to carry over from previous quarters.
