Student Chapter Hosting Regional Conference

The 2005 Region H Conference of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) will be hosted by the Notre Dame Student Chapter of SWE and held at the University from February 11 – 13. In addition to professional sessions covering a variety of topics from biotechnology to team building, the conference will feature a career fair and networking session. Speakers include Nancy Ferris, director of research for the Eastman Kodak Company; Nicole Petrados, vice president of Motorola, Inc.; and Mary Stevens, vice president of engineering and quality for Herman Miller, Inc.

A professional service organization, SWE provides support, guidance, and recognition to women engineers and engineering students. Student chapters include graduate and undergraduate students. Officers for the Notre Dame Chapter for 2004-05 are Katie May, president; Lauren Babir, vice president; Mary Ann Jentz, secretary; and Stephanie Rohrs, treasurer.
