Bauer Elected IEEE Fellow
Peter H. Bauer, professor of electrical
engineering, was elected a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers effective January 1, 2005. A member of the Notre Dame faculty since
1988, Bauer was cited for “contributions to the stability theory of
time-variant and nonlinear discrete time systems.” He is the 12th faculty
member to have received the rank of fellow. His interests are in the areas
of networked control systems, network congestion control, sensor/actuator
networks, and stability theory.
The IEEE is the world’s largest engineering professional
society with approximately 350,000 members in more than 160 countries. Fellows
are selected from among senior members whose achievements have significantly
contributed to the profession. |
