of Engineering Honors Kaneb Recipients
Created in 1999 through a gift from University Trustee John A. Kaneb,
the Kaneb Awards honor exceptional faculty who have been active in full-time
undergraduate teaching for a minimum of five years. Recipients are selected
in recognition of their outstanding service and example as educators.
This year’s honorees were Peter H. Bauer, professor
of electrical engineering; Jay B. Brockman, associate
professor of computer science and engineering; J. William Goodwine, associate
professor of aerospace and mechanical engineering; Lloyd H. Ketchum
Jr., associate professor of civil engineering and geological
sciences; Wolfgang Porod, the Frank M. Freimann Professor
of Electrical Engineering; and Salma R. Saddawi, professional
specialist in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
